Scotland 

The Highland Wildlife Park – Inverness, Scotland 

The Highland Wildlife Park will be an amazing day out for all the family. You toddler will get to see lots of animals and learn different facts about them. You can drive through the reserve so you can meet the elk, bison and many other animals. 

The park is open every day apart from Christmas Day and the opening times do change depending on the time of year so make sure to check the website when planning your visit.

The Den And The Glen – Aberdeen, Scotland 

The Den and The Glen offer both an indoor soft play area (The Den) and an outdoor play area (The Glen). 

The Glen is situated within 28 acres of spectacular scenic beauty on Royal Deeside so your toddler will enjoy their favourite nursery rhyme and fairytale characters, alongside a lot of flowers, plants and trees. 

The Den and The Glen is open every day, 9.30am to 5.30pm, with the last entry at 4pm.  

The North Of England

The World Of Beatrix Potter – Windermere, Cumbria

At The World Of Beatrix Potter, you and your toddler can discover the enchanting world of Beatrix Potter. Your toddler will be able to explore Peter Rabbit’s garden, Mrs.Tiggywinkle’s kitchen and much more. They will also be able to enjoy a free activity trail as you walk around. 

It is open every day, apart from Christmas Day, from 10am to 4.30pm. 

Seven Stories Centre – Newcastle Upon Tyne

Seven Stories is the UK’s National Centre for Children’s Books. It is free to go to and your toddler will be able to explore the magic and wonder of children’s stories through workshops, exhibitions and performances. 

It is open every day, except Wednesdays, during term time from 10am to 5pm. 

Eureka! The National Children’s Museum – Halifax

Eureka! offers a fun day out for all the family but your toddler will have a great deal of fun exploring all the zones and creative spaces. They have a lot of events on throughout the year that often coincide with fun holidays like Halloween and Christmas. 

Eureka! is open Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 4pm, and then Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 5pm. 

Mattel Play! – Liverpool 

Mattel Play! is based at the iconic Albert Dock and it features three interactive play zones, each with their own fun theme – Thomas the Tank Engine, Fireman Sam and Bob the Builder. It is the perfect day out for toddlers. 

The Midlands 

Guillver’s Kingdom – Matlock Bath, Derbyshire 

Gulliver’s Kingdom is a fantastic theme park, nestled in the heart of the Peak District, for children aged 2-13 years old so your toddler will have a great time. 

There are many rides and attractions, including the Animal Barn and the Discovery Centre. 

Gulliver’s Kingdom is open every day from 10.30am to 4pm. If you aren’t local to Derbyshire, Gulliver’s also have theme parks in Rother Valley, Warrington and Milton Keynes. 

CBebbies Land at Alton Towers – Staffordshire

Your toddler will love a day out to CBeebies Land at Alton Towers. They will get to meet all of their favourite CBeebies characters and have fun on all the rides. There are also live experiences and shows for your toddler to enjoy. 

Located at Alton Towers which is open 10am to 9pm each day. 

Dudley Zoo And Castle – Dudley

Dudley Zoo and Castle is located within 40 acres of woodland. Your toddler will be able to happily run around the stunning castle setting, taking in all the amazing animals. 

They have events on year round, like open air cinemas and Santa’s Grotto in December, so, if you are local, you will really be able to have a lot of fun here. 

It is open every day, apart from Christmas Day, from 10am. The last admission is at 2pm, with the ground closing at approximately 4.30pm. 

Wicksteed Park – Kettering

Wicksteed Park is free to enter and it is a Grade II listed unique urban park. It has over 25 exciting rides and attractions. Your toddler will also have 147 acres of parkland to run around and 134 acres of meadows. 

This park will be a lot of fun and your toddler can learn about some of the nature that they are seeing all around them. 

Gates open as early as 5.30am but the rides are not open everyday so make sure to check the website. 

Wales 

Pili Palas – Anglesey, Wales

Pili Palas is one of Anglesey’s top family attractions so it will be a fun day out for all the family. You toddler will be able to see butterflies and birds, alongside meerkats, goats and so much more. 

They are also play areas so your toddler will have heaps of fun here. Their opening times depend on the season so best to check their website before a visit. 

Children’s Farm Park – Harlech, Wales 

The Children’s Farm Park is a great day out for any animal mad toddlers. They will get to meet a variety of farm animals. There are also indoor and outdoor play areas. And a cafe for you to have a well deserved cup of tea.  

The farm park opening hours change depending on the season so please check their website for more information. 

The South Of England 

Rugrats And Halfpints – Banbury, Oxfordshire

Rugrat and Halfpints is the perfect day out for a rainy day as it is a soft play area. They also have a sensory play area so your toddler will have a great deal of fun. 

The Banbury location is open every day from 9.30am to 5.45pm. 

Peppa Pig World – Paulton’s Park, Hampshire

If you have a toddler, you will be well aware of the wonder of the Peppa Pig and you can become the best parents ever by taking them on a day out to Peppa Pig World. 

There are nine fun rides that are perfect for toddlers. And you toddler can actually meet Peppa Pig and George. Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, Zoe Zebra and Suzy Sheep also make seasonal appearances. Your toddler will have an absolutely wonderful day. 

Marsh Farm Animal Adventure Park – Essex

Marsh Farm Animal Adventure Park is perfect for children of all ages so it will be a fantastic day out for your toddler. They will get to meet a lot of cute animals and have a lot of fun in their Dinosaur Adventure.
